Windows 10 Trouble : How can I set the focused taskbar window to be a stronger colour / shade accent?
Error Trouble : I would like to know how I can highlight the focused window on the Windows 10 Professional taskbar. What it is like at the moment: This is vague and very hard to see with multiple parrallel windows of the same program open in a crowded taskbar. What happens with the mouse hovering over the window taskbar panel is a little closer to my intention:But this still isn’t quite what I need to achieve. Below is an example of what I’m looking for with the accent colour of my colour scheme (red). - Hello, I am Claudeir, a user and independent expert, it is very important to me that all your questions are answered and that you have a positive experience.
-I think I understand, you want to change the taskbar display mode, you can right click on the taskbar, taskbar settings, in ‘Combine buttons’, you can change it and leave it in ‘Never’ so all the tabs open in the same application will be displayed and will be marked when you have a certain task open, for example several documents in Word as you mentioned, I hope this is what I understand.

Thank you for your reply.
I have adjusted the taskbar accordingly but this doesn’t change the issue, the issue is that the shading/tint/colour of the selected window is not different enough to other windows to be easily and quickly identifiable on the task bar.
I know there is a high contrast setting in Windows 10 but that is too extreme and too much overkill for a very specific need – as my images show – of setting the focused taskbar window item to being a clearly different shade than its siblings.
Possibly is there a way you can tell me what part of the Windows 10 system sets this value and I can update this manually bridging the code?
