Windows 10 Trouble : Is there a way to disable the space bar from ‘confirming’ pop-up boxes
Error Trouble : My work requires that I type a lot in to a 3rd party’s software, and very frequently in the software we use, a pop-up window will appear asking if we would like to select one action or another, if the space bar is hit when that popup box is open it will select the default option and it will close a certain thing in that software without saving it and end up causing that work to need to be re-typed. Is there a way within Windows to prevent the space bar from having an affect on selection windows, or would this be the type of thing to bring up with the software’s creators?

How to Fix Is there a way to disable the space bar from ‘confirming’ pop-up boxes on Windows 10?

  1. Hi, I’m Elise, an Independent Advisor and I’d be happy to help with your issue.

There isn’t any setting I am aware of that would change this behaviour, I believe it may be more specific to the app in question than Windows itself. I agree that you may be best to raise with the software developer.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

    Kind Regards,
    Elise
