How to Fix Lockscreen keyboard not popping up on Windows 10?

  1. Hi basx

How are you? I hope you are doing good.

Welcome to Microsoft Community. I am Juliet, an independent advisor. It’s my pleasure to help you today. I know how frustrating this may be for you but I’ll do my very best to help you 🙂

Go to Start , then select Settings > Ease of Access > Keyboard, and turn on the toggle under Use the On-Screen Keyboard. A keyboard that can be used to move around the screen and enter text will appear on the screen. The keyboard will remain on the screen until you close it.

I hope it helps! Let me know the results.

Thanks for  the reply. But will this option work at  the  lockscreen?

    Thanks  again!

  3. Hello yes.

Open On-Screen Keyboard from Login Screen

At Windows 10 login screen, click the Ease of Access icon at the bottom-left corner. From the popup menu, you can select On-Screen Keyboard, and then use it to type your Windows password.

I hope it helps! Let me know the results.

Thanks for your reply. I’ve used that option but it’s not the one I’m  looking for.

I want  the keyboard  to pop up automatically when  I touch the PIN field

    Thanks again

  5. You can make the built-in on-screen keyboard appear automatically by going to Settings (Windows + I), click on Devices then select Typing from the list on the left then turn on “Automatically show the touch keyboard in windowed apps when there’s no keyboard attached to your device

I hope it helps! Let me know the results.
